Sammy Wegent is the co-creator and original host of Speechless, which has been produced and performed at comedy venues, colleges, and companies all over the world since 2013. His 25+ year career has Yes-Anded him from Entertainment to Education to Gaming and now is an equally split pie chart of each. Soon after Speechless found its footing as a live comedy show in San Francisco, he co-founded Speechless Inc. in 2015 which provided improv-based public speaking training and coaching to some of the world's biggest and brightest companies including Google, Adobe, The New York Times, Microsoft, Salesforce, Capital One, Facebook, Uber, Slack, and Disney.
In 2018, he and Speechless adapted the show format into a tabletop party game, What's Your Point?, which was successfully funded on Kickstarter. In 2021, he was named the U.S. Founder of the Year by the Startup Leadership Program. In 2022, Speechless merged with FLS Academy, an improv training center in New York affiliated with the Tony Award-winning Broadway show, Freestyle Love Supreme, and became Mindless Inc., a content and game developer that helps teams, families, and individuals improve their connection, creativity, and cognition. Mindless' professional services brand, Freestyle+, has helped teams connect at numerous noteworthy companies including Nike, PwC, All-State, Glamour, The Kennedy Center, Marriott, MasterCard, and BetterUp. Mindless has developed and deployed digital games to companies, consumer platforms, and thought leader partners such as Alison Wood Brooks, Harvard Business School professor and author of "TALK: The Science of Conversation and The Art of Being Ourselves." Earlier this month, Mindless' improv-inspired, science-backed, and AI-powered gaming portal, Mindless Play, was named one of the winners of the Panasonic Well Family Wellness Innovation Challenge which was announced in the opening keynote of CES in Las Vegas.
