About me
Kelly Shanley grew up in North Lake Tahoe, CA but rather than doing the sensible thing (pursuing a ski career like her sister) she moved to Hollywood after graduating from UC Santa Barbara to chase her dream of becoming a sitcom star! After years of acting classes and auditioning, Kelly decided to try her hand at standup comedy in 2015 and loved it so much she never stopped. Eventually she started producing standup shows in 2022; Star Baker Comedy Show at The Crow in Santa Monica and Shred The Mic Live in Tahoe City.
Kelly also has a successful career as a dating columnist with a decent following on Medium. "For Love Or Peanut Butter" is published by Slackjaw Humor and is now a beloved podcast too! Kelly describes it as "Sex and the City" meets "How I Met Your Mother," only in a first person podcast performed by a comedian. Be sure to check it out anywhere you listen to podcasts!
