About me
Fred Le is a comedian and documentary filmmaker who loves to focus his creative output on spreading the joy of his culture. This is the Bay Area native's third appearance at SF Sketchfest, once again hosting his all-Vietnamese comedy show Embarrassed by Night which he co-created in 2022.
Originally from Sunnyvale, he briefly moved to Vietnam to explore his roots, and briefly hosted the VTV International program Vietnam A to Z. His directorial debut titled The Empathizer, a jaunty exploration of the second-generation immigrant experience, is currently doing festival rounds. As a performer he's earned appearances at festivals such as Treefort, Boom Chicago in Amsterdam, and the Oakland Comedy Festival.
