About me
Raised in the thriving musical subcultures of Washington, D.C. DJ Omar Perez was exposed to the diversity of Punk, New Wave and Hip Hop from an early age.
This inspired his multivariate approach to DJing which resonates with people whose tastes are as broad as his; an asset that has made him an in demand DJ for touring artists like Grace Jones, Lana Del Rey, Pet Shop Boys, Duran Duran, The Jesus and Mary Chain, The Killers, The Cult, LCD Soundsystem, Glass Animals, Cold Cave, Goblin, Bananarama, Molchat Doma and many others.
His 25-year career in the Bay Area music scene has produced some of the most musically diverse and inclusive dance parties like Popscene, Leisure & Sixxteen.
He is currently the DJ for legendary director, John Waters' Annual San Francisco Christmas show, Oakland’s Mosswood Meltdown & is still a resident at Popscene, the club he co-founded 28 years ago.
