About me
Award winning actor, writer, and producer David Dastmalchian got his big break in Christopher Nolan’s “The Dark Knight” in 2008 and reunited in 2023’s “Oppenhiemer”. He then made his mark in the DC Universe starring as the iconic Polka-Dot Man in James Gunn’s “The Suicide Squad”. Most recently he was seen on the big screen as Jack Delroy in IFC’s “Late Night with the Devil” which was the first feature under his Production Company’s banner, Good Fiend Films. Previous film and television credits include: “Prisoners”, “Dune”, all three “Ant-Man” franchise films, “Blade Runner 2049”, “Birdbox”, “Boston Strangler”, “Twin Peaks,” “Gotham” and “The Flash”.
His indie debut “Animals” in 2014 was followed up by his 2018 “All Creatures Here Below”, both starring and written by Dastmalchian. Currently he authors a handful of comic book series, “Count Crowley: Mediocre Midnight Monster Hunter” and “Headless Horseman Annual” with Dark Horse Comics, newly released “Knights vs Samurai” with Image comics, “Creature Commandos” and “DC Horror Presents: Dollhouse” with DC Comics.
Upcoming appearances include Bryan Fuller's “Dust Bunny” with Mads Mikkelsen and Sigourney Weaver. Mike Flannagan’s “Life of Chuck” and Netflix’s live action adaptation, “One Piece”.
