About me
After going bald at the age of 10, Brian King became the class clown as a defense mechanism.
After encouragement from some teachers, he started doing stand-up at the age of 17. He started to get more serious about stand up, and transferred to Baruch College in the heart of Manhattan, so that he could grind like a true New York comic. He spent his college years, going to class and staying up till midnight doing open mics and hanging with fellow comics.
When he graduated college, the world shut down because of COVID-19, during which he took a brief break from comedy, until his friends started producing shows on rooftops once the vaccine had come out. He began doing comedy again, outside, on rooftops, in parks, and even in subway cars, anywhere for stage time. After a 2 year gap from graduating college, he got into an advertising program on the other side of the country, San Francisco. He took a risk and moved, and after completing the program, he now works at his dream job as a Copywriter.
Now, 26, Brian King, a true New Yorker at heart, is still on his grind, working in corporate America by day, and doing comedy shows at night. Recreationally, he is also the lead guitarist of his hardcore band, "Gimmick."
