Rhys Darby (SOLD OUT)
Friday January 17, 2025 7:00pm - 8:30pm PST
This show is sold out. A limited number of tickets may be available at the door.

Rhys Darby is an actor, writer, podcaster and stand-up comedian originally from New Zealand.

Darby first captured US audiences as Murray, the loveable, but ultimately inept manager in HBO’s "Flight of the Conchords". He has gone on to star in a plethora of TV and film roles, from "Yes Man" and "Pirate Radio" to Nigel in the "Jumanji" reboots. Most recently he starred as the gentleman pirate, Stede Bonnet in "Our Flag Means Death".

Darby first hit the standup stage in University in Christchurch, New Zealand in the mid 90s, and has never looked back. Now recognised as one of NZs most successful comedy exports. His stand-up has been described as a sensational blend of sound effects, characterizations and askew observations. A consummate storyteller, Rhys is known for his silly stories and light hearted take on the world.

Rhys has five stand-up specials’, "Imagine That!" (2008), "It’s Rhys Darby Night!" (2011) and "This Way to Spaceship", (2012) and "I’m a Fighter Jet" (2017) and "Mystic Time Bird" (2021).

Darby has written four books, a loosely autobiographical end of world companion, "This Way to Spaceship", as well as three Buttons McGinty books for kids (or adults that like to laugh)

Rhys’ love of the weird is seen in his stand up and writing, and for ten years he has had first a radio show, then a podcast on cryptozoology, "The Cryptid Factor".

A prolific voice over artist, kids all over the world hear him in "Voltron: Legendary Defender", "Spirit", "TMNT", "Kiff", "Monsters at Work" and many more. Darby is excited to lend his voice to the upcoming film "That Christmas" and the classic story, "Badjelly the Witch".

In between his huge adventures Darby is based in Los Angeles with his family where they like to hike, eat tacos and explore the world.

Dulcé Sloan (SOLD OUT)
Friday January 24, 2025 7:00pm - 8:30pm PST
This show is sold out. A limited number of tickets may be available at the door.

Comedian/Actress Dulcé Sloan was a correspondent on Comedy Central’s "The Daily Show with Trevor Noah" for six years (2017-2023). She currently continues on as a contributor and has taken over the main chair as guest host multiple times since the departure of Noah to critical acclaim. This year she was nominated for a GLAAD Award in the category "Outstanding Variety or Talk Show Episode" for her interview with Sasha Colby during one of those guest host runs. Also under this banner, she co-hosted the popular podcast "Hold Up" with Daily Show writer and fellow comedian Josh Johnson. On the podcast, the two co-workers turned their hilarious, unpredictable, and legendary office banter into a weekly war of words about topics big and small, but mostly small. In 2024, she won an Emmy for her work as a correspondent on the Daily Show. You can see some of her "Daily Show" segments, which have garnered millions of views, here:

9-1-1 For White People Emergencies - https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=gV1DJNfAbiM
“Gone With The Wind” Is Gone - https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=V-oeq1l7OU4

Dulcé’s memoir written in comedic essays "Hello, Friends! – Stories of Dating, Destiny, and Day Jobs" was released by Random House on 2/6/24. From a childhood moving between cities, starting her own business selling toys at a Miami flea market, to being a Black kid in a predominately white school, she’s always used her masterful wit to challenge the status quo. Have you ever dated an adult who roller skated, or went out with a mechanic just to get free auto service? Yup, she’s got that story for you. Her stories are both wildly entertaining and culturally resonant.
Her new Netflix set premiered on November 28th as part of their new standup series "Verified Stand Up" with The New York Times lauding “In less than 15 minutes, her set packs a wallop.” She can also be heard as part of the cast of FOX’s hit animated series "The Great North", currently in its 4th season, on which Sloan voices the character “Honeybee” alongside an ensemble of comedy heavyweights including Jenny Slate, Nick Offerman, Megan Mullally, Will Forte, and Paul Rust.

In 2023 Dulcé debuted as the host of The CW’s new comedy game show "The Great American Joke Off". In the series, Sloan hosts her fellow comics as they compete in coming up with hilarious set-ups for different punchlines or even using the texts on an audience member's phone as a springboard for jokes, all in a celebration of gags, wisecracks, one-liners and the art of joke telling.

Sloan recently appeared as a guest judge on the iconic long-running series "RuPaul’s Drag Race" and was a celebrity guest on CNN’s "New Year's Eve Live with Anderson Cooper & Andy Cohen". She is a regular guest on NPR’s popular "Wait Wait…Don’t Tell Me" and is a favorite on the talk show circuit with appearances on "Watch What Happens Live", "Late Night with Seth Meyers", and "Sherri", to name a few.

On the big screen, Dulcé starred in the action-comedy feature "Chick Fight" alongside Malin Akerman, Alec Baldwin, and Bella Thorne with The Hollywood Reporter declaring “Dulcé Sloan…not just steal(s) the movie but make(s) sure that no one else even comes close.” She graced the Fall 2020 cover of SLiNK Magazine where they crowned her “The New Queen of Comedy,” and Rolling Stone recently hailed her as one of the 10 Comedians You Need To Know, declaring “she speaks and they simply fall in line behind her.”

Self Help Me with Jenny Yang
Saturday February 1, 2025 7:00pm - 8:30pm PST
Self Help Me is a competitive self-care comedy show hosted by comedian, writer and actor Jenny Yang. Every show features comedians, celebrities and wellness experts ready to test their knowledge of the latest wellness trends and reveal their own self-care obsessions. It’s like if "Lovett or Leave It" and "@midnight" made a baby that was obsessed with wellness and lymph node massages–but also cared about the cultures and origins of these splashy trends. Self-care already felt competitive. We just made our anxieties into a show. “What’s the point of self-care if you can’t win? Do you even charge your crystals, bro?” – Jenny Yang, Host + Lifestyle Director.

With Doug Benson, Kate Micucci, Nori Reed and Saul Trujillo.

Tag It with The Sklar Bros.
Saturday February 1, 2025 9:45pm - 11:15pm PST
The Sklar Brothers host this amazing line up of comedians. As each comedian performs the Sklars sit on stage and write “tags” (jokes that go on the ends of their jokes). Then after each comic finishes their set the Sklars join them on stage to pitch them the tags they’ve written in real time. It’s stand up comedy and then a peek behind the curtain of what happens in green rooms everywhere. It’s a celebration of collaboration, improvisation, and community. With guests Doug Benson, Robby Hoffman, Thomas Lennon, and Arden Myrin.

The Kashyyyk Life Day Carol: A Parody Live Reading Of The Star Wars Holiday Special
Sunday February 2, 2025 12:00pm - 2:00pm PST
The George Lucas Talk Show and the Star Wars Minute podcast are delighted to announce their appearance at the SF Sketchfest for a LIVE staged reading of the Star Wars Holiday Special! Join them and all-star cast of comedic thespians as they return the much-maligned TV special to life before your very eyes!

In 1978 George Lucas was eager to keep his blockbuster Star Wars in the public eye so his beloved characters would face their biggest threat to date—starring in a TV variety show! The world would be forever changed as we watched how Wookiee’s celebrate their titular holiday, Life Day! Featuring a galaxy of guest stars from Bea Arthur (“Maude”), Dihaann Carroll (“Julia”) and Harvey Korman (“High Anxiety”) the special would never be aired again. Curious fans have had no (legal) way to enjoy the festive flop—until now! Featuring the 21st Century equivalents of Art Carney, Starship and Harrison Ford, this live performance, like its predecessor, will never be repeated!

A long time ago, in a galaxy far, far away MALLA THE WOOKIEE is worried her husband, CHEWBACCA, won’t make it home in time for LIFE DAY! Cooking, classic rock and EROTIC VR can’t distract her, her son LUMPY and father-in-law ITCHY! Will Han and Chewie make it in time? Is this really the first appearance of Boba Fett? Can Princess Leia carry a tune?

Find out the answers with The George Lucas Talk Show and the Star Wars Minute at the 2025 San Francisco Sketchfest!

With Don Bies, Patrick Cotnoir, JoJo Ginn, Mary Holland, Rob HuebelSeth Morris, Griffin Newman, Pete the Retailer, Connor Ratliff, Paul Scheer, Alex Robinson, Janet Varney and Nina West.

Sunday February 2, 2025 7:00pm - 8:30pm PST
This show is sold out. A limited number of tickets may be available at the door.

Robby Hoffman is a small ex-Hasidic queer Jewish stand-up comedian, writer, and true original. She can currently be seen as the breakout of Netflix's "Verified", their new selection of next generation stand-up comedians. "New York Times" comedy critic Jason Zinoman compares her "bulldozing stand-up to Larry David because of her mountain-out-of-a-molehill kvetching, but her hilarious rage over people who complain about interruptions during a conversation makes her sound like a modern lesbian Andrew Dice Clay".

Also a favorite of The Times is her podcast, "Too Far" (with Rachel Kaly) which is described as an "addictive listen", and that "truly great comedy emerges from combustible hostility, discord and a melodramatic sense of conflict".

She was named one of Vulture's Top "Comedians to Watch", one of Comedy Central's "Up Next" comedians, and was on Conan O'Brien's "Comics to Watch" list. She has performed numerous times at the Montreal Just for Laughs festival and has twice headlined the New York Comedy Festival. She recorded her first one-hour stand up special "I'm Nervous" in Toronto, available on CraveTV, and can also be seen in this year's "History of the World" on Hulu.

Robby is also a notable TV writer, having written on "The Chris Gethard Show" (TruTV), "Workin' Moms" (Netflix), and "Baroness Von Sketch Show" (IFC). In 2019, Robby won a Daytime Emmy Award for her writing work on "Odd Squad" (PBS). She is currently developing projects with Showtime, Warner Bros TV and A24.

With an opening set by Ruby Setnik.
