‘(Not) That Bad’ is a show about death, dating, and diarrhea. Catherine McCafferty will take you on the journey of her life: growing up in a family affected by alcoholism, coming out of the closet late, getting engaged to her first gay partner, having her engagement end, watching her dad die, getting sexually assaulted, and (arguably) worst of all shitting herself in public. 
The show strives to explore that tragedy plus jokes equals comedy, because time isn’t linear. Grief is a circle and the circle can and should have some really funny speed bumps along the way. If the journey of life isn’t where we are going but how we got there, it's also about how we tell people we got there.

Jessica McKenna and Zach Reino create a completely improvised musical in an attempt to combat the notion that musicals should be “carefully crafted” or “thought out at all.”

Zach Reino and Jessica McKenna are a versatile musical comedy duo better known as "The Zach & The Jess". They currently write and compose music for the WGA award winning Peacock Series "Baking It" starring Maya Rudolph and Amy Poehler. The duo has also written songs and musical sketches for the Peacock series "Bumper in Berlin",_ _the hit animation show "Rick and Morty", "Party Over Here" (a Fox sketch show produced by The Lonely Island), Buzzfeed, FunnyOrDie and Nickelodeon. Zach and Jess recently sold a live-action musical comedy feature with David Wain attached to direct and Elizabeth Banks’ Brownstone Productions for Amazon. They also created and starred in "Serious Music", a digital series for ABC.

Their weekly improvised musical podcast "Off Book" has been praised by various online publications including Indie Wire, USA Today, Parade, AV Club and Splitsider and been featured at Comedy Central’s Clusterfest Festival, Moontower, the world renowned Just For Laughs Festival in Montreal, and the upcoming Netflix Is A Joke Festival in LA. Zach and Jess were listed as one of Vulture’s “Comedians You Should and Will Know” and in early 2019 they released their first full-length musical comedy album "The Calendar Album" with Comedy Dynamics.

"The Big Team" (fka "White Women") is an improv team of all black men based in Los Angeles. Formed after meeting at the UCB Black History Month Show in 2013, the group has been featured at theaters all over Los Angeles and the country, having headlined festivals in Portland, DC, Austin, NYC, and more. Collectively they have written and produced videos for Dropout, Comedy Central, and Funny or Die, and individually they've written and acted in a lot of your favorite TV shows. They were named on Vulture's annual list of "Comedians You Should and Will Know" in 2018.

Prepare for an evening of spontaneous comedy using the language and themes of William Shakespeare. Nothing has been planned out, rehearsed, or written. All of the dialogue is said for the first time, the characters are created as you watch, and if ever you're wondering where the story is going...so are they! "TimeOut Chicago" calls it “Staggeringly Brilliant” and “Downright Hilarious!” You've never seen the Bard like this before!

Carmen Christopher is an LA-based writer, comedian, and actor. Carmen currently recurs on the FX series "The Bear", as well as FX series "The English Teacher", Executive Produced by Jonathan Krisel. On the writing side of things, Carmen most recently staffed as an Executive Story Editor on "Killing It" for Peacock, on which he also made recurring appearances. He wrote on A24/Showtime’s series "The Curse", created by The Safdie Brothers and Nathan Fielder, starring Nathan Fielder and Emma Stone. Carmen also wrote and appeared on "The Chris Gethard Show" for truTV. His original special "Carmen Christopher: Street Special", is streaming now on Peacock. Carmen can also be seen on "Joe Pera Talks With You" (Adult Swim), "Shrill" (Hulu), "Sunnyside" (NBC), "High Maintenance" (JBO) and the Disney+ feature "Rescue Rangers", directed by Akiva Schaffer.

Sabrina Wu is a Brooklyn based actor, writer, and stand-up comedian. They recently made their feature film debut in the Lionsgate comedy "Joy Ride", from executive producers Seth Rogen and Evan Goldberg and director Adele Lim. Variety Magazine recently named Wu one of the 10 Comics to Watch. 
In 2022, Just for Laughs Comedy Festival selected Wu as one of their New Faces of Comedy. In October that year, they went on to make their late-night stand-up debut on The Tonight Show with Jimmy Fallon. Sabrina regularly performs at venues like Union Hall and the Bell House in New York City, where they’ve been featured as part of the New York Comedy Festival. 
Wu served as a staff writer on the Disney+ series "Doogie Kameāloha M.D." and is currently a staff writer on an unannounced series for Netflix with Mike Schur executive producing. They recently sold their pilot 20th Century Studios.

With a career spanning decades, encompassing an endless list of iconoclastic roles (Dr. Frank-N-Furter! Rooster Hannigan! Darkness! IT! So many more!), an actor of this calibre deserves nothing less than a Tribute of Peaches Christ-proportions. Featuring local luminaries, music, dance, clips, conversation and more, this one-time-only event— celebrating Tim Curry’s work in film, stage, television, music and beyond— is not to be missed!

Audience members are encouraged to dress up and enter the Tim Curry character costume contest.

Self Help Me is a competitive self-care comedy show hosted by comedian, writer and actor Jenny Yang. Every show features comedians, celebrities and wellness experts ready to test their knowledge of the latest wellness trends and reveal their own self-care obsessions. It’s like if "Lovett or Leave It" and "@midnight" made a baby that was obsessed with wellness and lymph node massages–but also cared about the cultures and origins of these splashy trends. A show for Star Wars fans and non-fans alike returns to SF SKETCHFEST for the third time alongside some amazing guests! Comedian Connor Ratliff ("Dead Eyes," "The Marvelous Mrs. Maisel") appears as George Lucas, the creator of Star Wars, and interviews guests like a "normal talk show." He is joined by sidekick Watto, played by Griffin Newman ("Blank Check," "The Tick"), and show producer Patrick Cotnoir. The show has been running since 2014 and was a regular show at the UCB Theatre in New York City for years. It has been streaming on Twitch since 2020. Collider called them "a bit of sunlight streaming into our lives", and they were featured in Rolling Stone, talked about on Seth Meyers, had a very successful run at the Edinburgh Fringe Fest, and were recently the subject of a lengthy documentary that made the festival rounds and is currently available on VOD.

Trans-It Girls Nori Reed and Hayden Johnson co-host an iconic night of stand-up & trans absurdity with their favorite comedians. With guests Kevin Allison, Natasha Muse, Ify Nwadiwe, and Sabrina Wu.

The Sklar Brothers host this amazing line up of comedians. As each comedian performs the Sklars sit on stage and write “tags” (jokes that go on the ends of their jokes). It’s stand up comedy and then a peek behind the curtain of what happens in green rooms everywhere.
